Reading Magistrates' Court: Kintbury man in custody on bleach charge
A MAN has been remanded in custody accused of attacking a woman and having a corrosive substance, bleach, in public.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 26, was Josh Eaton.
The 25-year-old, of Church Street, Kintbury, is accused of assaulting Claudia Ingram-Rice, thereby causing her actual bodily harm and possessing, without good reason or lawful authority, a corrosive substance in public.
Both offences were said to have happened in Church Street, Kintbury, between July 23 and July 27.
District judge Samuel Goozee sent the matter to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury.
He meanwhile refused to grant bail and Mr Eaton was remanded in custody.
