Reading Magistrates’ Court: Theale man accused of burglary




A MAN has been sent to the crown court on charges of burglary and assault.

Liam Charlton appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 16.

The 40-year-old, of Lilac Close, Purley, is accused of entering a home in Reading on Wednesday, June 14, with intent to steal.

Mr Charlton, who was legally represented by Mason Waker, is further accused of assaulting Gary McDonald by beating him on the same occasion.

He was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was being sent to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury on a date to be fixed.

Mr Charlton was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
