The 40-year-old, of Purley Rise, Purley, is accused of driving a Porsche Taycon after taking the Class A-controlled drug MDMA, or ecstasy, on the A4 at Woolhampton on New Year’s Day.

He is further accused of driving after taking the Class B-controlled drug cannabis on the same occasion.

Finally, Mr Galot is charged with driving dangerously, also on the same occasion.

Magistrates told him the case was being sent to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Galot was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
