A MAN is to go on trial charged with having a baseball bat and knife on a housing estate.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 2, was Nikolas Cross.
The 19-year-old, of Ewing Way, Newbury, is accused of possessing the bat and also of possessing a kitchen knife as an offensive weapon at The Nightingales in Newbury on December 23 last year.
Mr Cross, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, was told by district judge Samuel Goozee that the case could proceed no further that day.
He adjourned both matters for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Cross was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
