Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man charged with strangulation offence

A MAN has been accused of assaulting and manually strangling a woman.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 10, was Lee Budge.

The 37-year-old, of Curling Way, Newbury, is accused of strangling Kelly Hart.

He faces a further charge of assaulting Kelly Hart by beating her.

Both offences were said to have been committed in Newbury between Monday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 31.

The case was adjourned and Mr Budge was granted bail with conditions.
