Reading Magistrates' Court: Mortimer man accused of shoplifting in Newbury and Thatcham




A MAN has been accused of travelling to Newbury and Thatcham to go shoplifting.

On Tuesday, December 20, Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing in the case against Matthew Holmes.

The 30-year-old, of St Catherine's Hill in Mortimer, is accused of stealing food and drink worth £458.50 from the Co-op store in Essex Street, Newbury, on November 17 last year.

He is further charged with stealing £77.45 of food items from Tesco in Thatcham on November 28 last year.
