Thatcham man Paul Ferguson admits child sex image offences

A MAN has been caught with almost 1,000 child sex abuse images and videos.

Paul Ferguson appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 11.

The 63-year-old, of Mallards Reach, Thatcham, admitted possessing 12 moving and still images of children in Category A – the most serious, involving penetration, bestiality or torture.

Next, he admitted possessing 50 still and moving images of children in category B.

Finally, Ferguson admitted having 858 images of children in Category C.

All the offences were committed in Thatcham between April 2015 and January 4 this year.

District judge Samuel Goozee ordered pre-sentence reports.

He stipulated these should be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.

Ferguson was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
