Eling Hermitage man Alan Manston admits Thatcham child sex offence
A MAN will be sentenced at the crown court after admitting a child sex offence.
Alan Manston appeared in the dock for a preliminary hearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 8.
The 36-year-old, of Eling, Hermitage, admitted intentionally communicating with a girl aged under 16 and encouraging her to engage in sexualised conversation and requests in Thatcham between specific dates in February and June this year.
Manston, who was legally represented by Robert Slinn, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead guilty to the single charge.
He was told the matter was being sent to be sentenced by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Manston was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
