Jack Burton from Newbury admits child sex offences
A MAN has been committed to the crown court for sentencing on child sex charges.
Jack Burton appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 6.
The 29-year-old, of Huntingdon Gardens, Newbury, admitted five charges in all.
First, Burton pleaded guilty to trying to cause a girl under the age of 13 to look at an image of a male engaging in sexual activity, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification for himself.
Next, he admitted communicating in a sexual manner with two girls, one aged 13 and the other aged 12, namely by discussing sexual acts with them including asking them if they want ‘sexual fun’ and asking them if they wanted to see his genitals.
Thirdly, Burton admitted possessing 10 indecent images of children in Category A – the most serious category depicting penetrative sex, sadism or bestiality.
Furthermore he pleaded guilty to possessing three indecent images of children in Category B.
Finally, Burton admitted having 43 extreme pornographic images depicting acts of bestiality.
Helen Gambrill, prosecuting, said all the above offences were committed in Newbury between May 23 and October 3, 2022.
Magistrates deemed the offences were so serious their own powers of punishment could be insufficient.
Burton, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, was therefore told all the above matters would be dealt with by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Burton was meanwhile told to sign the Sex Offenders Register and was released on conditional bail.
The conditions included not to use the internet to contact or attempt to contact any child known or believed to be under the age of 16, restrictions on his internet use, not to live or remain in any household where there is a child aged under 16 and not to deliberately contact anyone under the age of 16.
