Theale man Robert Hagger admits assaults on woman

A MAN is awaiting sentence for twice assaulting a woman.

Robert Hagger appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 7.

The 41-year-old, of Church Street, Theale, admitted assaulting Donna Wright by beating her in Theale on Sunday, March 19.

Mr Hagger, who was legally represented at the hearing by Paul Gilmartin, also admitted assaulting Ms Wright by beating her in Theale on Monday, April 3.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

They said they had a community-based penalty in mind.

Mr Hagger was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
