Alan Cornwall admits Newbury shed burglary




A MAN has been sentenced for a shed break-in.

Alan Cornwall appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 10.

The 45-year-old, of Hillview Place, off West Street in Newbury, initially denied burgling a shed with intent to steal in Newbury on Friday, January 26.

But he subsequently changed his mind and admitted the offence.

Mr Cornwall was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 100 hours of unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £335 in compensation in lieu of costs.

Finally, Mr Cornwall was required to pay a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
