Reading Magistrates’ Court: Burghfield Common man admits Newbury weapon offence




A MAN is awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to motoring and weapon charges.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 7, was Anthony Crickett.

The 35-year-old, of Sayers Close, Burghfield Common, admitted possessing an offensive weapon, namely a kitchen knife, in public without lawful excuse.

Mr Crickett also admitted taking a black Saab vehicle without consent, driving it insurance and driving it without a valid licence.

All the above offences were committed in Newbury on Thursday, July 6.

A district judge ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

Mr Crickett was meanwhile granted bail with conditions, including a condition of residence at an address in Newbury.
