William Smith, aged 80, from Speen, convicted of causing criminal damage




A PENSIONER has been convicted of causing criminal damage.

William Smith appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 2.

The 80-year-old, of Marshalls Court, Speen, admitted destroying two door locks in Newbury last December 11.

No order was made for costs.

However district judge Samuel Goozee made a compensation order in the sum of £280 in lieu of an otherwise statutory victim services surcharge.
