Police say 'shocking incident' was performed in front of families at cricket match
A man and a woman have been arrested following an incident of outraging public decency in Newbury's Northcroft Park.
Thames Valley Police said that a man and a woman were sat on a bench next to the cricket pitch when the man started shouting and swearing.
Officers said he then unzipped his trousers and the woman performed an intimate act, while families watched the match.
They then walked off towards Northcroft Leisure Centre.
The incident occurred around 12.45pm on Saturday, July 11.
Investigating officer Sergeant John Heatley, based at Newbury police station, said: “This was a shocking incident, particularly as the area was busy with families watching a cricket match, so I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to get in touch.

A 51-year-old man of no fixed abode and a 42-year-old woman from Newbury have been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency. They have been released under investigation.
