Man arrested after Toni & Guy shopfront in Parkway Shopping centre smashed




Police have arrested a 21-year-old man after a windowed shopfront was smashed in Parkway Shopping centre last night.

Police officers were called to the Toni & Guy hairdressing salon in Parkway at 11.55pm yesterday (Sunday) after there had been reports that the window glass front of the shop had been smashed.

A 21-year-old man from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage this morning in connection with the incident.

He remains in police custody.

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to call 101 or make a report on the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference number 43230350387.

Parkway centre manager Andy Marmot said the shopping centre was assisting police with their enquiries.
