Man arrested following digger theft

Police arrested man a following a public report of digger being driven with no lights on

A HERMITAGE man has been arrested following the theft of a digger.

Thames Valley Police were alerted on Sunday (6) at around 6.30pm after receiving a report of a digger being driven along the road with no lights on.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

The vehicle had been taken from Love Lane in Shaw.

He has been bailed to return to Newbury police station on Monday, March 14.
