Man arrested following Hungerford assault





The incident happened between 12pm and 12.30pm on Saturday (5) near the library in Church Street.
The altercation continued into High Street and towards Everland Road.
The victim, a 37-year-old, suffered a large graze above his left eye and scratches to his face.
Investigator Sian Betteridge, from Newbury CID, said: “This altercation happened in the High Street area during what would have been one of the busiest times of the day.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or who saw anything which could assist our investigation.”

A 38-year-old man from Hungerford has been arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm and has been released on bail until November 13.
