Man arrested following Kingsclere collision
Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman, Vicky O’Hare, said police were called at 7.17am to Union Lane, off the A339, near a mini roundabout close to Kingsclere Business Park, to a collision involving a van and a Peugot 106.
The van driver is reported to have failed to stop at the scene and was later stopped by police further along the A339 and arrested.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman, Julie Jacobs, said fire crews from Kingsclere and Overton were called at 7.43am to the incident, involving a woman trapped in a car and who was cut out of the vehicle by firefighters.
South Central Ambulance spokesman, James Keating-Wilkes, said the ambulance service was called to the scene at 7.25am, to a collision involving a car, which ended up against a tree.
“One female patient was taken to the North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke,” said Mr Keating-Wilkes, adding the woman’s injuries were not serious.
The fire service closed the incident at 8.43am. The road remained open throughout.
