Thames Valley Police: Man arrested following late-night fracas in Newbury




A MAN was arrested following a noisy and lengthy fracas in Newbury last week.

The incident began soon after 9pm on Tuesday, September 7, in Walton Way, according to witnesses.

One said: "It went on for ages. There were police, ambulance staff, roadblocks, fighting and arrests."

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Caity Rosetti, said: "Thames Valley Police received a report of an altercation between two men at around 9.05pm.

"A 24-year-old man from Newbury was arrested in connection with the altercation and has been released on police bail.

"An investigation is ongoing."
