Man arrested for causing criminal damage

Officers were called just before 6am on New Year's Day to reports of a man damaging vehicles and property in Charlton Place.
The man then ran off and was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage in Charlton Place and Canal Walk, and for assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty.
The 21-year-old, from Newbury, has been released on police bail until February 5.
