Arrest made following Tadley stalking incident on Saturday

A man remains in custody today (Monday) after he was arrested in connection with a stalking incident.

The 38-year-old, who is from Tadley, has been arrested on suspicion of stalking involving serious alarm/distress and using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress.

The arrest follows an incident in the town when police were called to a report that a woman in her 20s had been followed by a man acting suspiciously on Bishopswood Road at around 5.30pm on Saturday (October 12).

Hampshire Police said: “It was reported that the woman was being harassed and felt in fear.

“Officers launched an investigation and have made an arrest.

“He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.”
