Man assaulted in Newbury




Police seek witnesses to assault in Newbury during early hours of Friday morning

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Newbury during the early hours of Friday morning (November 25).

Thames Valley Police spokesman, Craig Evry confirmed police were called at 12.17am to London Road, after a 30-year-old male from Newbury, had been assaulted while walking home.

The man was assaulted by two people, believed to be male, who then ran off.

He was taken by ambulance to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, where he was treated for a cut to his lip, before being discharged.

Police are treating the incident as actual bodily harm (ABH) and seeking witnesses.
