Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man assaulted police officers

A MAN is awaiting sentence for attacking two police officers.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 21, was Samuel Demarco.

The 44-year-old, formerly of Inkpen but who now lives in Newtown Road, Newbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting both officers in Reading on Saturday, June 11.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared on an 'all options' basis, including custody.

Mr Demarco was meanwhile released on conditional bail.
