Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man's driving ban for refusing test
A MOTORIST who refused a roadside breath test has been banned from driving.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, July 27, was Michal Chudzik.
The 29-year-old, of Regant Court, off Thornycroft Close, Newbury, denied failing, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a roadside breath test on the A4 Bath Road in Thatcham on Sunday, February 20.
However, he was found guilty following a trial.
District judge Samuel Goozee made Mr Chudzik subject to a 12-month community order with a requirement that he complete 150 hours unpaid community work.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £775 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.
Finally, Mr Chudzik was banned from driving for 20 months.
