Reading Magistrates' Court: Pangbourne man must compensate woman he attacked
A MAN has been ordered to pay compensation after being convicted of assaulting a female florist.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 15, was Joshua White.
The 29-year-old, of Reading Road, Pangbourne, has been banned from going to the store by a court order after he admitted assaulting Hannah Bignell by beating her in Pangbourne on September 29 last year.
Mr White was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 80 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus £100 in compensation to Ms Bignell in lieu of an otherwise statutory victim services surcharge.
Finally, magistrates made Mr White subject to a 12-month restraining order forbidding him from contacting her, either directly or indirectly, or from going to her business, Ruby & Grace, in Pangbourne.
