Reading Magistrates' Court: Burghfield Common man breached Sex Offences Act
A MAN has admitted breaching the terms of the Sexual Offences Act.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 26, was Andrew Lay.
The 54-year-old, of Blackbird Close, Burghfield Common, admitted breaching the act by failing to comply with the notification requirements of his addition to the Sex Offenders Register.
Specifically, Mr Lay admitted that on Tuesday, February 1, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 80 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, he failed without reasonable excuse to notify the relevant authorities of a bank account and bank card he had acquired.
Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports.
Mr Lay was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
