Burghfield Common motorist Jack Whitman caught drink-driving




A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for drink-driving.

Jack Whitman appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 31.

The 20-year-old, of Lamden Way, Burghfield Common, admitted driving a white Ford Focus on the M4 near Wokingham on Sunday, July 14, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 51mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Whitman was fined £400.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge.

Finally, Mr Whitman was banned from driving for 12 months.
