Reading Magistrates' Court: Motorist caught drug-driving in Padworth
A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for three years after being caught drug-driving.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 8, was Naresh Nanda.
The 39-year-old, of Macs Close, Padworth, admitted driving a Mercedes E220 on the A4 at Padworth on Sunday, March 7, when the amount of the Class A controlled drug, cocaine, and also its metabolite, benzoylecgonine, in his system exceeded the specified limit.
As well as the driving ban, Mr Nanda was made subject to a 12 month community order and required to complete 200 hours unpaid community work.
There was no order for costs or victim services surcharge because these had already been imposed for other matters, the court stated.
