Newbury man Aaron Platts caught with knife in public.
A MAN caught with a knife in public has been ordered to undergo psychological treatment.
Aaron Platts appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 21.
The 20-year-old, of Austen Gardens, Newbury, admitted having a kitchen knife in Greenham Road, Newbury, on Christmas Eve last year.
District judge Samuel Goozee made Mr Platts, who was legally represented at the hearing by Alex Granville, subject to a 12-month community order.
Under its terms Mr Platts must complete 80 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition, he was ordered to undergo mental health treatment by a psychologist.
Finally, Mr Platts was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
