Man charged in connection with Inkpen stabbing




Thames Valley Police has charged a man in connection with the attempted murder of a woman in Inkpen.

Martin Buckland, aged 49, of Skyllings, Newbury, was charged yesterday (Friday) with one count of attempted murder.

The charge is in relation to an incident on Thursday, August 6, in Robins Hill, Inkpen, in which a woman sustained serious injuries. She remains in the John Radcliffe Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Mr Buckland was remanded in custody and appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court Saturday where he was further remanded and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
