George Burnett of Purley accused of cocaine dealing




A MAN has been sent to the crown court charged with drug dealing.

George Burnett appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 4.

The 23-year-old, of Sherwood Place, Purley, is accused of possessing the Class A-controlled drug with intent to supply it.

Mr Burnett is further charged with possessing the Class B-controlled drug cannabis with intent to supply it.

Finally, he is accused of possessing criminal property, namely, cash.

All the above offences were said to have been committed in Reading on September 2, 2021.

Magistrates sent the case to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury, sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Burnett was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
