Newbury man Liam Creed charged with GBH attack
A MAN has been sent to the crown charged charged with a grievous bodily harm attack.
Liam Creed appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 11.
The 32-year-old, of Eitherways, Newbury, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to Christopher Mayes, and intending to cause that harm, in Newbury on July 25 last year.
Mr Creed, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, spoke only to confirm his details.
That is because the charge is indictable only – which means that it can only be heard at a crown court.
Magistrates therefore sent the case to be heard by a judge and, in the event if a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Creed was meanwhile released on conditional bail.
