Man charged with murder

POLICE last night (Friday) charged a man with murder following an incident on the Nightingales estate in Newbury on Wednesday.
He is 41-year-old Simon Velvick of Newtown Road, Newbury.
Mr Velvick has been remanded in custody until July 8, when he is due to appear before Reading magistrates.
Four others arrested in connection with the incident were released on bail earlier today.
The alleged victim was named as Mark Campbell, but no other details have been released.
