Michael McNamara, 34, charged with four counts of burglary and one count each of robbery, possession of a bladed article and threatening someone with a knife in relation to incidents in Tilehurst between October 8 and 25




A man has been charged with several burglary offences, possession of a bladed article and threatening someone with a knife following a police investigation.

Michael McNamara, 34, of no fixed abode, was charged on Saturday, October 26, with four counts of burglary and one count each of robbery, possession of a bladed article and threatening someone with a knife.

The charge is in relation to incidents in Tilehurst between October 8 and October 25 this year.

McNamara was arrested on Friday.

He appeared before Reading Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday, November 25.
