Reading Magistrates’ Court: Lambourn man in Hungerford leisure centre assaults




A MAN has been convicted of assaulting the same man twice at a leisure centre.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 10, was Jason Roberts.

The 51-year-old, of Lyedowns, off Ermin Street, Lambourn, admitted assaulting Colin Hewer-Matthews by beating him at 8.03pm at Herongate Leisure Centre in Charnham Park, Hungerford, on Thursday, April 20.

He further admitted assaulting the same man by beating him again just minutes later.

Mr Roberts, who was legally represented by Fiona Taylor, was told that magistrates required pre-sentence reports and the case was adjourned for these to be prepared.

He was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
