A NEWBURY man has admitted attacking a police officer.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 1, was Charlie Henaghan.
The 24-year-old, of Newtown Road, pleaded guilty to assaulting the officer, who was executing his duty in Wokingham, on Tuesday, June 29.
Mr Henaghan, who was legally represented by Mike Davis, was told the case could proceed no further that day because magistrates wanted pre-sentence reports.
These were ordered to be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.
Mr Henaghan was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
