Reading Magistrates' Court: Thatcham man sentenced for assaulting woman
A MAN has been ordered to undergo psychological treatment after assaulting a woman.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 3, was Ricky King.
The 27-year-old, of Urquhart Road, Thatcham, had pleaded not guilty to assaulting Rhiannon Durrant by beating her in Thatcham on Sunday, June 26.
The matter went to trial and district judge Samuel Goozee did not believe his account.
Mr King was convicted and fined £200.
No order for costs was made by Mr King was ordered to pay a statutory victim services surcharge of £95 in addition to the fine.
Finally, he was ordered to attend a 'building better relationships' course and to undergo mental health treatment.
