Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man's domestic violence




A MAN who denied carrying out a domestic violence assault on a woman has changed his plea.

Tommie Keith Jury initially pleaded not guilty to assaulting Emily Da’Mant by beating her in a domestic violence context in Newbury on October 26 last year.

But on Friday, August 13, during an appearance at Reading Magistrates’ Court, the 31-year-old, who lives at Fleetwood Close, Newbury, announced he had changed his mind and now accepted his guilt.

Mr Jury was made subject to a 12-month community order and was required to complete 200 hours unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £250 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.
