Man cut out of car at A34/M4 Chieveley junction




Collision involving three cars

A MAN was cut out of a car and taken to hospital this afternoon (Mon) after a collision involving three cars at the Chieveley junction of the A34/M4.

Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 2pm, to the A34 southbound at junction 13 of the M4 intersection, following a collision involving three cars.

Firefighters cut the roof off a silver Vauxhall car, to remove a male driver.

The man was removed from the car on a spinal board and taken to hospital

A woman passenger was not injured.

No-one was injured in the other two cars.

Two lanes of the A34 southbound were closed during the incident.

Firefighters left the scene after an hour.
