Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man denies assault

A MAN has denied committing assault.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, January 4, was Joshua Burton.

The 22-year-old, of Gaywood Drive, Newbury, is accused of assaulting Edward Keyte by beating him in Reading on September 25 last year.

Mr Burton spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

He was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Burton was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
