A MAN is set to go on trial accused of assault.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 8, was Pawel Grzes.
The 30-year-old, of Canal Walk, Newbury, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Martin Doyle by beating him in Newbury on Tuesday, May 17.
Mr Grzes, who was legally represented by Gianpaolo Damiani, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Grzes was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
