Reading Magistrates' Court: Burghfield man denies GBH charge
A MAN has been sent to the crown court for trial on a charge of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, July 6, was Anthony Cricket.
The 35-year-old, of Three Firs Way, Burghfield Common, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Tristan Pearce at Newtown Road, Newbury, on October 25 last year.
Mr Crickett, who was legally represented by Paul Cantrill, spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and the matter was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Magistrates stipulated that this will be heard by a judge and jury at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Crickett was meanwhile released on conditional bail.
