Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man denies harassing woman

A MAN has been charged with threatening or abusing a woman.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 24, was Jacob Oakley.
The 20-year-old, who lives in an apartment in Hilary House, St John's Road, Newbury, is accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause Ellie Petts harassment, alarm or distress in Newbury on Wednesday, July 20.
Mr Oakley spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and the matter was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Oakley was meanwhile granted bail with conditions.
