David Prater denies having blade in public in Newbury




A MAN is to go on trial accused of having a knife in public.

David Prater appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 4.

The 48-year-old, of Christie Heights, Newbury, is accused of possessing a craft knife without good reason at Newbury Retail Park in Pinchington Lane on Tuesday, May 23.

Mr Prater, who was legally represented at the hearing by Gianpaolo Damiani, was told the case could proceed no further that day and was being adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Prater was meanwhile granted bail with conditions.
