Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man denies he was drunk in public




A MAN has pleaded not guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 7, was Paul Derek Williams.

The 30-year-old, of Glendale Avenue, Newbury, is charged with committing the offence at Reading Railway Station on Tuesday, May 17.

Mr Williams, who was legally represented by Robert Jacques, spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.

He was told the case could not proceed further that day and and the proceedings were adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Williams was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
