Reading Magistrates' Court: Hermitage man denies making threats in Thatcham
A MAN has denied trying to intimidate two others with threats of violence.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 11, was Ewen Deas.
The 19-year-old, of Deacons Lane, Hermitage, is accused of using towards Adam Hillier threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause him to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him.
He is further accused of committing the same offence in respect of Andrew Wale.
Charlotte Abbott, prosecuting, said both offences happened in Thatcham on December 30 last year.
Mr Deas spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to each charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was adjourned for a trial to be prepared.
Mr Deas was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
