Reading Magistrates' Court: East Ilsley man denies serious Thatcham assault

A MAN has pleaded not guilty to a serious assault charge.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 28, was Haydon Lucas.
The 26-year-old, who lives at Downside, East Ilsley, is accused of assaulting Thomas Aspel in Thatcham on Friday, August 12, thereby causing him actual bodily harm.
Mr Lucas spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.
Magistrates said the case could proceed no further that day and adjourned it for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Lucas was meanwhile granted bail.
