The 54-year-old, of Lancaster Square, Hungerford, is accused of intentional sexual touching of a woman’s buttock when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.

The offence is said to have happened in Hungerford on a specific date last year.

Mr Watts, a former pupil at John O’Gaunt School in Hungerford, spoke only to confirm his details and to elect trial at the magistrates’ court.

Chad Echakowitz, prosecuting, said the trial was expected to last around two-and-a-half hours.

Mr Watts, who was legally represented by Beth Vaughan, was told the case could proceed no further that day and was being adjourned while the trial, scheduled for 2pm on Tuesday, December 10, was arranged.

He was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
