Luke Muswell from Mortimer denies strangulation offence
A MAN has been sent to the crown court charged with an offence of intentional strangulation.
Luke Muswell appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court wearing a grey overcoat and blue jeans on Thursday, February 6.
The 35-year-old, who had been living at College Piece, Mortimer, is accused of intentionally strangling Stephanie Muswell in the Reading postal area on May 18 last year.
Mr Muswell, who was legally represented at the brief hearing, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
Magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent the case to be dealt with by a judge and jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Muswell was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
