Cold Ash man Alan Waters denies threatening behaviour in Thatcham
A MAN is to go on trial accused of threatening behaviour.
Alan Waters appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 18.
The 48-year-old, of Southend, Cold Ash, is charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in Thatcham on Sunday, April 2.
Mr Waters, who was legally represented at the hearing by Adonis Daniel, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
District judge Samuel Goozee said the case could proceed no further that day and adjourned it for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Waters was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
